When you can come have a session just as you are!!

As a trainer, I'm all about their overall well-being, not just weight or how many pushups they can do in a session, nurturing fitness, not forcing anything.


Sometimes the standard fitness workout is not what a stressed out body or mind needs.


In fact if the purpose of movement is to feel better, then we must modify to suit, what you need on any given day.


And also will require a more holistic approach, for you to checkin, tune in, listen to you're body. And ask your self the question, what do you need most right now.


Instead we are more likely to push through, ignoring how we feel, but that's not healthy either.


Living life, with injury, stressed, exhausted, overwhelmed, meeting others expectations but not thriving, unwell, unhappy, disconnected and struggling.


So if a client has been having a hard time, or a rough day, I listen and we adapt. Because they want to talk, to be supported, to destress whilst I help them come back to their own needs, to help them focus, make themselves important, even if only for a short while in our session, whilst I help them move through it and leave without the tension.


I'm all about their overall well-being, not just weight or how many pushups they can do in a session, nurturing fitness, not forcing it, not working against what the body and mind.


It’s truely personalised, in all the ways, the space I create is as important as the exercises.


That’s what I love the most, it’s about feeling good about yourself and comfortable in your own skin, to feel good, that's the reason you train, RIGHT!! .


So there are times when my clients need to modify the environment not just the exercises;


lower the lights,

cut the music, soften it

lessen the noise and chatter after a busy day

Change the exercise style


To slow it down

To tune in to the body

To focus on you, your needs

Not talk for a bit


No one wants an overwhelmed, over stimulated, and frazzled nervous system, nothing fit or healthy about that.


Let’s make time for you, it’s a short while.


To destress, breathe and relax into each move.


Tonight was a perfect session for where my client was at -


Still wanted to do something

but feeling exhausted,

hormonal,

been up since early,

not eaten enough for the day


So asked if we do something gentle, stretch instead of our normal strength workout. (Smart girl listening to her body)


Me: Yes girl yes❤️, perfect 👏🙌👑✨


I was so happy, as that is what I was thinking too - truth is the last thing she needed was a standard workout.


I always encourage rest, but if you still want to come - then it's your wellbeing that we focus on.


Then it’s safe and comfortable for you to come, just as you are and I will adapt the session and moves to match your state of energy and mind.


Do less hard stuff - I’ll make it suit, to feel ok, no matter where you are at on any given day -


And you will always leave feeling better than you come and happy you did.


I guess that’s what I bring to your health journey - years of experience and wisdom, in your best interest, it’s not about me.
