Healthy Mindset for a healthier body- they go together

I believe our mind and body work together and our thoughts have a lot to do with how we treat our body, how our body responds too.


Our mindset works to support us in maintaining and allowing more goodness, more possibilities or it can work against us, often stopping us, closing the door to being open for change.


It's driven more of the fear of failure and discomfort, what we will have to "give up, stop" rather than the future benefits of what else could be possible - what will we gain by trying.


Remember, we are never starting from scratch, we are always going to be starting again from experience. I think it's very normal to stop and start, to realign, recallibrate, adapt and change what we need as we change.


Having good health is not a straight line - go from A-B, then it's done. Nope


Health is not doing everything, 100% ever perfect, no such thing, its a life long journey, quest and we need to be flexible, we are always going to be learning - listening to what feels good.

But our mindset will either helps us or hinder us, more often it has us going down a negative spiral. Especially is we believe our thoughts, the stories. And it's often coming from our past experiences, which are often not positive ones when it comes to getting healthy or fit, or losing weight.


And it's thought's just like these;


  • "I've tried everything, nothing works"

  • "It has to be strict or it won't work for me"

  • "I ate so bad today, so better not eat much tomorrow"

  • If it doesn't work this time, it's all over, I'll give up"

  • "Why bother, I'm always going to be like this"

  • I'm so stressed"

  • "I deserve a treat, I've earned it"

  • "I feel like a failure"

  • I'm useless"

  • "I'm lazy"

And the list could go on and on, with all the things we tell ourselves, the things I've heard women say, the many reasons to justify, staying the same, reasons we can't be healthy, or have to give up, or not even try - too scared in case it is too hard, feels bad (again).


But remember alot of the thoughts, are our own B.S, made up, stories, feelings that drive that kind thinking. And it has it's purpose, prevents us from feeling uncomfortable - we feel comfort with what we know, no risk of change, so no risk of trying and failing - even if that way also feels bad for us, right!!!!


But the TRUTH is, it's all not truth.


Because we can always create a change instantly, create a version of you that's different or healthier than you, yesterday!!!!

These negative words stick, reducing your confidence, words hurt, the same as when we were kids - and like anything we tell ourselves, or worse someone else has given you the story, and you're believing it, then repeating over and over again - a negative loop of lies and limitations you're not challenging or questioning.


So don't believe everything you think, look for the proof or evidence - is that really true for you - NOW as the grownup person today, or is it old thoughts, following you.


These thoughts are holding us in a negative loop and cycle and easy to spiral down further - stopping us from moving forward or feeling happy, taking actions to feel better.


Thinking healthy thoughts, is going to allow more goodness, make space for more possibilities, so we don't give up or close the door on way's we could feel happier or better.


Cause your mindset for healthy change is needed to make the change, exercise and diet - sure helps but without a new perspective - awareness of selftalk and thoughts - the cycle will continue and the fear of change will also.
