Here's my take on the menopause mystery (not any more thankfully)

Before I hit 50, I didn't think about menopause. My 2nd child was born at 40, so was too busy to give the mayhem a name or overthink it.

I was already sleep deprived, permanently fatigued, emotionally up and down, so who could tell.

NOW, at 55, I want to show you, that being healthier, active, makes a big difference to our symptoms, and we have more control over our body than we think.

Our healthier lifestyle habits help us feel better in body and mind.

Because MENOPAUSE is normal, but symptoms don't have to be.

So what is your body telling us!

Time to stop pushing it to the brink.

to take better care, listen??

We can help ourselves, to feel better, not worse, naturally or with medicine if required.

There's no guilt or shame in having help.

So I'm glad the menopause conversation is getting louder, more sharing of information, support, understanding so it's less of a mystery and the "you have to put up with it", mentality handed to our mums, that suffering was part of it, is no longer an entry requirement to midlife.

There are some clear "less helpful" things, but this guide is about positive practical actions to take.

More simple way's to master the way you feel in midlife, thriving during menopause season and reduce symptoms.

There's the Usual Suspects like;

sneaky weight gain

foggy brain

poor memory

crap sleep

hot flushes

cranky moods

fatigue

headaches

unexpected anxiety

low or no libido

vaginal atrophy and dryness

higher cholesterol

bone density changes

heart palpitations and racing

hair loss

It's an endless list - everyone is different - but all equally frustrating, exausting and "passion" killers .

But simply put - our hormones are out of wack, which means balancing is possible, time to take better care of you.

So if I can help by adding ideas, change perspectives, share conversations, promote positive aging, keep women active, healthier, to make life more joyful, I will.
