This is how to get started, safely and sensibly back into exercising again before summer . Of course great tips for now and every other day too.
It's that time of year, when we get excited, over zelous, wanting to get back into exercise again, doing all the things, so happy its nearly summer.
So I thought I'd put some tips together for you, so you can get into the best shape possible safely this summer. Goes for anytime of year of course.
1. What suits you now, don't try and push yourself to do what you used to if it's been a while
2. Your body knows best. So listen to it. That means don't push through pain or cause it.
Learn your limits, pull up before too sore, especially if you know your a bit out of shape or recovering from an injury -NO - "no pain, no gain" NEVER again.
3. Doing what feels good is the secret to keeping on doing it. Find something that feels good, plenty of options out there.
4. Go back into it gently no prizes for injuring yourself, start easy, work up to it, it's not a race and you'll enjoy it more that way.
5. Do it safely, get help, an expert to support you, find a group or a coach with guidance, more fun that way too.
And most of all focus on health not weight, have fun, good vibes, having a positive experience, other wise you may not like it.
And it's not about results, it's about feeling great, that's the real reason your doing it. YES??
Important NOTE: it’s normal to stop and start, that’s life - but it’s just about focusing on you again - committ - balls to the wall . Just start somewhere and not to hard to start with.
